Dona Nina

A poetic portrait of love, resilience, and gratitude. The track narrates the journey of Dona Nina, who left Soledade (MG) for Rio de Janeiro and, deprived of the right to study, began working in a factory at a young age to support her family. The song culminates in a moving celebration: the realization that the success and path of her children today are the sacred "reimbursement" for a childhood she paid for with hard work.

Behind the Scenes: "Dona Nina" was born from the silence that time and maturity transformed into melody. This song is the opportunity I found to tell her everything that, in the past, I couldn't perceive or understand, and that, later on, I lacked the words to summarize in a conversation. It is a tribute from a son who finally understood the immensity of maternal sacrifice. By singing about the transition from Minas Gerais to Rio de Janeiro and the hardship of factory work since childhood, the song reclaims the past not with pain, but with honor. It is my way of translating into art the pride and eternal love I feel for her, immortalizing her story and showing that none of his struggles were in vain.
